Brief

Penmap is a family of software and hardware field based products that have been designed specifically for survey professionals working in difficult environments. Factors such as durability, and field ergonomics were all given the highest priority in the design of Penmap and Penmap has become the industry standard for Pen based data collection using GPS and other positioning technology.

Chameleon were approached by Penmap who were requiring a completely new web presence. After browsing through our portfolio and being impressed with the consistent professional image of site builds in our portfolio. With a brief including a considerable amount of content management and a technical support system, Penmap were also impressed by our extensive work on database driven websites.

Solution

From the ground up Chameleon have designed and built a clean cut, easy to use, database driven website alongside a variation of our SoSimple content management system. The backend content management system allows our client to easily add product information to the site, including the ability to upload multiple product images and assign downloadable documents against any particular product, document types including .pdf, .doc, .xls, .mp3, .mov, .wmv, .flv and so forth.

We are particularly impressed with the final results of our customer support ticket module which allows registered customers access to online support. All correspondence is stored in the database against the customers ID and support ID's and also provides email updates each time the status of a ticket is updated.

E commerce functionality shall be added to the Penmap site during the coming weeks.

As with all our sites Penmap is hosted on our high end Windows server, as can be seen with all our sites the speed of page delivery is unsurpassed as a result of quality programming and top level hosting. As with all our site builds the coding on Penmap ensures the site shall be easily accessible throughout the search engine network.
