Brief

London based Express yourself Mums required a major upgrade to their existing website presence and approached Chameleon in 2007 for a site overhaul. They were suffering from limitations of their old e commerce system and after browsing numerous Chameleon designed and built e commerce sites were keen to see a full demonstration of our systems. Alongside many standard e commerce features, Express Yourself Mums also had a number of bespoke requirements which we seamlessly integrated into our SoSimple e commerce platform.

EYM stressed the importance that their site should not come accross as being solely an e commerce site and that it should act as a central portal for advice and resources for pregnant women. This on-site advice then doubles up to aid in their search engine optimization campaign.

Solution

The Express Yourself Mums website is again proof in the pudding of our expertise in e commerce website development, with an extensive feature list and a huge backend content management system. The site has two main objectives, to sell product and to act as an information portal for Mothers and Healthcare Professionals. As on any Chameleon developed e commerce website, usability was at the forefront of this build. The construct of the site is built almost completely using modern CSS code giving excellent cross browser compatibility and speed, alongside numerous server technologies and is hooked up to a robust, fast SQL server database. The SoSimple module ties in seamlessly with the SQL database allowing for fast and easy site management by our client. The site has been tested across multiple platforms and browsers and works seamlessly throughout.
