Our company website has become a very critical part of the marketing strategy for the business. It was realised that to reach more markets we would need to have a more prominent position on all major search engines and a more easily accessible website. Chameleon Digital Media were contacted to help us achieve this; we met initially to decide our key objectives, and what functionality we would expect from the website. Our main objectives were a higher page listing on major search engines, a faster easier to access site and to bring the site inline with the company’s current corporate identity.

Chameleon have a wealth of knowledge in the latest web technologies, and from the initial meeting through to the launch of the site, gave us clear, easy to understand explanations of what technologies we should introduce into our site to get the maximum results. We received a clear breakdown of the various sections of the site, what information would be required from ourselves and which parts Chameleon would produce. Chameleon were given our latest literature and asked to produce a design concept and visuals for the site. Storyboard visuals were produced for the design and layout of the home page through to the sub-sections and the detailed product pages to a very high standard.

Chameleon understood the complexity of our product base and detailed how they would split the site and products into a series of mini home pages, each of which would be carefully written and optimized to achieve the highest possible search engine listing. The main target was to get a higher page rank within Google. The underlying database was designed and created by Chameleon with speed and search engine optimization in mind as we would initially have over 5000 products.

The site was designed, created and launched by Chameleon in time for the launch of our new catalogue; we have hosted the site with Chameleon who have their own dedicated servers for web hosting, which has helped with the overall speed and stability of the site. Chameleon have also provided a comprehensive website statistics package for us to monitor all site traffic.

Since the launch of the website we have seen a 40% increase on the number of hits on the site. Our page rank within Google has increased and our general enquiry level for products has increased. With the guidance of Chameleon we are already planning further developments to the website.
