James Noon
Managing Director
James has an extensive history in design and web development stretching back some 14 years. During a 3 year period employed as a graphic designer at a printing firm he set a goal to establish his own design agency. Throughout the late 90’s he was drawn to the new media design opportunities that the internet had to offer. Although in its infancy, at that time, James evisaged that e commerce would begin to play a significant role in the running of mail order businesses and so began to develop his own e commerce platform. For several years James has been involved in the business development of his separate family business, a mail order music shop called Eagle Music Shop, this has led to a thorough understanding of the processes and day to day running processes of a mail order business.
In November 1998 James established Chameleon, a consistent passion for business development has seen Chameleon enjoy 11 years of growth, Chameleon have climbed the rankings of the UK’s most successful web design agencies. To this day James continues to develop and improve the services Chameleon has to offer, with major emphasis still being placed on the development of the Chameleon SoSimple ecommerce and content management platform.
James is directly involved in all projects at Chameleon, being the main point of contact for an extensive client base, his expertise and thorough understanding in the many facets of his industry is truly refreshing.
Ian Wylde
Creative Director
Ian has enjoyed creating successful projects for clients now for well over 15 years. His early experience of working in brand development and design for print has given him a wealth of knowledge on how brands can work successfully online. His natural progression into website design and his understanding of building websites using modern day web standards has proved to be a huge success for some of the worlds leading brands including Heinz, Umbro, Charles Schwab, Ferrari, Glaxo Smith Kline, DLA Piper, ITV, Gaz De France and Yorkshire Forward. Ian is a true minimalist at heart and applies a 'less is more' approach to his designs whilst fully understanding what is needed to design for different market sectors.
When Ian isn't grafting till midnight he enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, windsurfing (tried it once!) reading and most importantly enjoying quality time with his family.
Jan Frieser
Lead Web Application Developer
Jan has been involved in various sectors of the IT industry since the late 90’s. During his university studies, he ventured from client technologies to the thrilling universe of the web. As a passionate web user he continued his journey of exploring various technologies and approaches for development of web based systems.
Jan's professional carrier commenced as a programmer at a class leading IT company, his work involved the development of a document management systems covering the use of various programming technologies including PHP, ASP, ASP.NET and Enterprise Java backed up with broad range of database engines including Microsoft SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle.
Jan joined the Chameleon team in 2006 as senior programmer, his programming and business knowledge expertise have played a key role in the development of the class leading Chameleon SoSimple e commerce and content management system. There is nothing to stop Jan from delivering even the most complicated development projects.
When not in the light of his pc monitor, Jan enjoys travelling, sophisticated jazz music or just simply kicking back.
Charlotte Britton
SEO/SEM Executive
Charlotte joined ASDA Graduate Training Scheme in 1995. She worked at various stores on the south coast for 2 years and at age 24 was fresh food manager for a £2 million turnover department with 80 colleagues. She then moved up to ASDA HQ to work in the ASDA brand department and after 18 months moved over to to join the Internet Shopping team.
Charlotte then joined a leading online marketing agency where she managed the SEO and PPC strategies for Mercedes Benz, Alliance and Leicester, O2 and first direct. She then was one of the founders of an open source technology company where she continued to manage online marketing strategies, including PPC and SEO strategies for a number of clients such as for Halifax Bank of Scotland Credit Cards and Designer Trainers one of the leading designer trainers retailers online.
She now collaborates with Chameleon to deliver innovative online marketing campaigns that deliver true return on investment (ROI). She provides a genuine innovative approach to SEO, integrating blogging, Twitter, Facebook and other social media marketing strategies to strengthen and complement the SEO campaign.
She is the Chairman of the Institute of Directors, Young Directors Forum, Yorkshire and Humber and also sits on the Common Purpose Leeds Advisory Group.
